Cara Delevingne directly responded to a netizen who accused her of being "coked up" when she attended the Met Gala 2024 on Monday.

In one of the videos from the event shared by E! News on Instagram, Delevingne appeared fidgety with her bejeweled headpiece and seemingly confused as she spoke with the interviewer, Ross Matthews. In one instance, she randomly touched Matthews' hand, and she was also seen biting her nails.

When Matthews asked Delevinge about her outfit, Ed Sheeran and designer Stella McCartney randomly joined the seemingly confused model before she could even respond to the question.

Delevinge's seemingly peculiar behavior in the video clip caught the attention of many netizens, and one of them even claimed, "They're saving her from ruining the interview because she's so coked up. They had to intervene."

Unexpectedly, the "Paper Towns" actress responded to the netizen and directly addressed the accusation.

"Been clear for nearly two years! Thanks for the support," she wrote, along with a clapping emoji.

Many fans quickly showed support for Delevinge after learning about her recovery and effort to stay sober.

"We believe in your recovery. Keep it up girl!" replied one netizen.

"My queen, ignore these disgusting people. We shine with your light and we are always by your side no matter what. We love you very much. You are the star of the gala," wrote another fan.

"This is what I was waiting for! Now, everyone shut their disgusting mouth and get out. We are always with you, Cara. Keep shining like this. We love you very much. Stay safe and healthy," stated someone else.

Meanwhile, others slammed the netizen who left the comment and assumed that the model was on crack.

"How are you not mortified and embarrassed by this comment after Cara explains she has been sober for two years?" one person wrote.

"Woman, delete this comment. You just got BURNED by Cara herself," another commented.

Delevingne's response to the commenter also indirectly addressed the other statements about her doing drugs again in another video posted by E! News. In the video, she appears to look a bit frantic while posing for the camera to showcase her outfit.

"Nah, it's giving drugs bad," claimed one netizen.

"Ugh. Cara is tweaking again?" asked a different commenter.

"Always giving crack/meth energy. Sorry not sorry," another person said.

Even before the British model directly addressed the speculation about her, some had already come to her defense.

"Keep in mind she's being yelled at from all directions. It's possible she's overstimulated or anxious," one netizen wrote, defending the Hollywood star.

"It looks like this clip was sped up to make her look manic and frantic," speculated someone else.

"Everyone saying she's on drugs, and I thought she was just really giving us Monty Python vibes moving in fast motion," commented another netizen.

In March 2023, the model-actress opened up with Vogue about her previous drug use and said, "There's an element of feeling invincible when I'm on drugs. I put myself in danger in those moments because I don't care about my life."

She also shared how committing to a 12-step program/treatment for her addiction helped her instead of the usual "quick fix of healing" she previously tried.

"This time I realized that 12-step treatment was the best thing, and it was about not being ashamed of that. The community made a huge difference. The opposite of addiction is connection, and I really found that in 12-step," she said.

At the time, she also talked about her desire to quit smoking.
