Tucker Carlson's 2023 interview with a man who made unsubstantiated allegations about having cocaine-fueled sex with former President Barack Obama resurfaced and went viral on social media again over the weekend.

As Obama prepares to headline a Joe Biden campaign fundraiser next month, a user on X, formerly Twitter, reposted a clip from convicted fraudster Larry Sinclair's interview on the "Tucker on X" show in September last year.

During the interview, Sinclair claimed that he met Obama -- who was an Illinois representative and already married to his wife Michelle at the time -- through a limousine driver during a visit to Chicago in 1999.

Sinclair alleged that Obama told him at the time he and his wife were going through marital issues but did not specify these problems.

According to Sinclair, he and Obama allegedly took cocaine in the limo before Sinclair allegedly performed oral sex on the politician.

Sinclair alleged to Carlson that they repeated these actions after Obama came to his hotel room the following day.

While Sinclair has provided no evidence supporting these allegations, some X users appeared to believe his claims.

"We all know Obama is gay. And lives with Big Mike," one X user commented, referring to Michelle. "Still don't understand why they hide it. Especially in this day [and] age no one cares."

"Obama is and was the great deceiver... We were all fooled," another claimed.

"Saw this and believed his story. If it weren't, wouldn't Obama have fought for this to be removed?" a third user speculated.

But many others slammed Sinclair for sharing this story without evidence and Carlson for giving the convicted con artist a platform to spread unfounded rumors.

One person commented, "This is totally ridiculous and slanderous."

"You know you are losing when you depend on conspiracy," another opined.

"This was debunked quite some time ago as the man making the accusations is a pathological liar," another user wrote.

According to Politico, Sinclair has a 27-year criminal record that includes fraud, theft and forgery convictions. He has served prison time in Florida and Colorado.

Obama has not publicly addressed Sinclair's claims.

Sinclair first made the claims against the former president in 2008 and even self-published a book titled "Barack Obama & Larry Sinclair: Cocaine, Sex, Lies & Murder?"

He answered a challenge from the website Whitehouse.com at the time and took a polygraph test to prove his claims. However, according to the site, Sinclair's results "indicated deception."

In August 2023, his claims resurfaced after the New York Post published a letter it claimed 21-year-old Obama wrote to his ex-girlfriend Alex McNear in November 1982.

In the letter -- which Pulitzer Prize-winning historian David Garrow included in his book "Rising Star" -- Obama allegedly described his mind as "androgynous to a great extent."

"In regard to homosexuality, I must say that I believe this is an attempt to remove oneself from the present, a refusal perhaps to perpetuate the endless farce of earthly life. You see, I make love to men daily, but in the imagination," Obama allegedly wrote.

Despite the speculation surrounding their relationship, Obama and Michelle's marriage is going strong.

The couple celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary in October last year with sweet messages for each other on Instagram.
