The 2018 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival has released its lineup for their legendary weekend concert series.

Beyoncé Is Back

Beyoncé Knowles-Carter has kept her promise to return to Coachella in 2018. The "Daddy's Lessons" singer-songwriter had to pull out of the 2017 edition of the California concert festival due to reaching the final stages of her pregnancy with twins Rumi and Sir Carter.

Her "Telephone" collaborator Lady Gaga stepped in her stead at the very last minute in 2017. However, the Beyhive will be overjoyed to learn that Queen Bey is expected to perform on both Saturdays, April 14 and April 21.

Eminem Closes Coachella

Detroit rap king Eminem will have the honor of closing out Coachella as the "Stan" rapper is expected to perform on Sundays, April 15 and April 22. The 15-time Grammy winner could include several tracks from his latest studio album Revival.

Eminem's latest album featured collaborations with Alicia Keys ("Like Home"), Beyoncé ("Walk on Water"), Ed Sheeran ("River"), Kehlani ("Nowhere Fast"), and Pink ("Need Me"). Fans might need to keep an eye out to see if any of these artists might show up to perform with Eminem at the show.

The Weeknd Headlines Friday

R&B crooner The Weeknd spent most of last year in the tabloids, thanks to his high profile relationships with it girls Selena Gomez and Bella Hadid. Hopefully, The Weeknd will remind music fans of his impeccable artistry.

The Weeknd's songbook includes hits such as "Can't Feel My Face," "The Hills," and his highly successful collaborations with Daft Punk, "Starboy" and "I Feel It Coming." He is expected to headline both the Friday, April 13 and April 20 shows.

Other Artists To Perform

Joining Beyoncé, Eminem, and The Weeknd on both weekends are a plethora of artists representing numerous musical genres. SZA, whose debut album was named one of the 50 best albums of 2017 by Rolling Stone, is expected to perform on Fridays, April 13 and April 20. Kygo, St. Vincent, Vince Staples, and Bleachers are scheduled to perform on that weekend.

HAIM, Tyler, the Creator, alt-J, Fleet Foxes, and Chic featuring Nile Rodgers are expected to open for Beyoncé on Saturdays, April 14 and April 21. Rap music's finest, including Cardi B, Migos, and French Montana, will join rising stars Magic Giant and Vance Joy on Sundays, April 15 and April 22.

Social Media Commentary

Coachella fans took to Twitter to comment on the 2018 lineup announcement. Reactions to the announcement were mixed.

"Oh good. I'm okay skipping this year," wrote one user.

"I've gone three times," wrote another. "EDM is not my main concern for this kind of festival. This is the best line-up in years."

Other acts that fans asked for include Lana Del Rey, Lorde, and even South Korean boy band BTS.

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is expected to take place in Indio, California at the Empire Polo Club.
