Elin Nordegren In Miami: Name-Drops Tiger Woods To Get Into Club
Elin Nordegren, Tiger Woods' ex-wife, reportedly had to use her ex-husband's name over the weekend in order to get into a Miami nightclub that she was originally denied entry into, according to New York Daily News.
The 32-year-old went barely unnoticed while out with others and the report noted that her friends had to drop a "do-you-know-who-I-am" in order to get her into the Hyde nightclub.
"Nobody recognizes her - she was only a celebrity because she married Tiger Woods," a Confidenti@l source said. "Someone in the entourage said, 'This is Elin, Tiger Woods' wife,' so only after they dropped the name, they let her in."
The source added though they finally got inside the club and made their way to a poolside cabana, Nordegren and her group of friends were soon after asked to leave because it was 2 a.m. and the venue was about to close.
Nordegren's Miami weekend included dinner with her two siblings and Swedish hockey player Douglas Murray, who in July denied rumors that he and Nordegren were dating ("We are not dating and we have never dated," he told the Swedish tabloid Expressen).
Nordegren and Woods married in 2004 but split after the golf player admitted to having extramarital affairs with numerous woman. The divorce was settled in the summer of 2010 and she walked away with a $100 million settlement.
She is currently rebuilding a $12 million North Palm Beach home, according to Daily Mail. The report added that the 21,000 square-foot home will include an Olympic-sized swimming pool, waterfalls, Koi pond, spa, gym, wine room and a movie theater. The master bedroom itself will be 1,200 square feet and will have views of the Atlantic Ocean.
