Despite still being a couple years away from the big screen, chatter regarding the 2015 release of the "Justice League" movie continues to heat up.

Writer Jonathon Nolan, the brother of "Dark Knight Rises" director-extraordinaire Christopher Nolan, recently gave his take on the future DC Comics blockbuster, which also included the Batman character.

The younger Nolan, an avid Batman fan himself, spoke to Empire Online about his excitement on the character being included in the "Justice League" film.

"I'm incredibly excited. I was a big Batman fan when I was a kid. In fact he was the only comic-book character I really liked," he said. "I went through a brief spell where I was reading Captain Britain, because I was an English kid living in the States, and Wolverine for 30 seconds, Spider-Man too, but really Batman was the one."

When the writer was asked to give his thoughts on whether more DC characters should've been included in "The Dark Knight Rises," he quickly addressed the question with his brother's vision in mind.

"Part of what's compelling about Chris's take is the naturalism of it, and I think that's one of things I loved about the Frank Miller comic books was that they were sort of urban, gritty vigilante stories first and foremost," he said. "So everything had to stick within that universe."

Nolan also spoke about Marvel's ensemble mega-hit "The Avengers, which raised the standards for the "Justice League" flick. He called writer Joss Whedon "a god" and said he was a huge fan of his work.

"And I thought The Avengers was just an incredible achievement," he added.

The "Justice League" production team will be focused on composing the large team of superheroes that'll make up the future flick. Although the film still has not committed to a director, writer Will Beall of "Gangster Squad" is said to be working on the script.
