Yes, the rumors are true - Pie Girl will have Murphy's baby in season 2. No, we don't yet know if the infant will inherit her father's powers as the Zombie Whisperer, nor has the series revealed whether or not the baby will receive her father's immunity.
The answers to these questions, however, will undoubtedly be revealed during episodes 5 and 6. Aptly Titled "Zombaby!" and "Zombie Baby Daddy," respectfully, these installments will see Serena return while Murphy spends his time "falling for his baby girl."

Aww, Murphy is actually capable of caring about someone other than numero uno. Perhaps thinking of his daughter's future will propel Murphy back on the path to California.
