Outlander may have found its Lord John Grey.

'Outlander' Season 2: Have EPs Found Their Brianna? News Round Up

All eyes are currently in search of news regarding Brianna MacKenszie, but the Starz series has allegedly cast an equally popular character. According to IMDB and Spoiler TV, 16-year-old Oscar Kennedy will take on the role of Lord John Grey.

A Redcoat, the secretly gay character will enter the story once Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan) make their way back to the Scottish highlands. Considering his English affiliation, the trio will not have the smoothest of first meetings. Grey's violent debut won't keep him from cropping up all the way through The Fiery Cross. In fact, the character proved so popular that he landed his own set of novels from Outlander author Diana Gabaldon.

Now that Grey is officially in the picture, fans can start batting around the idea of Outlander spinoff. Nothing is set in stone, but executive producer Ron Moore has addressed the possibility.

"It's in the back of our minds as a potential thing," executive producer Ron Moore explained to Digital Spy. "But right now our minds are pretty firmly set on just delivering the second season. We'll see what happens down the line on Lord Grey."
