'The Wiz' NBC Live 2015: Queen Latifah, Shanice Williams Production Better Than 'Sound Of Music' & 'Peter Pan'? [POLL, VIDEO]
NBC's The Wiz Live! entertained millions all over America last night, with some considering it the best TV musical the network has put on yet.

This was the third year in which NBC put on a big, flashy musical during the holiday season, after Peter Pan Live! last year and The Sound of Music Live! the year before. The Wiz Live! featured an all star cast that included Queen Latifah, Mary J. Blige, Uzo Aduba, Common, Ne-Yo, Elijah Kelley, David Allen Grier, Stephanie Mills and new actress/stardom bound Shanice Williams.
But there was something about The Wiz Live! that felt different from the past two years. The first two NBC musicals have arguably been more in the "hate watch" or "so bad it's good" territory, with Twitter users mocking Christopher Walken's performance as Hook in Peter Pan Live! as a prime example.

Yet there was very little hate-watching to be found with The Wiz Live!, at least according to Twitter. Most of the reactions to this musical were positive in nature and almost everyone agreed that this was NBC's best musical by a long shot.
