Miami Dolphins legendary quarterback Dan Marino is set to go in front of the cameras on Super Bowl Sunday despite news that surfaced today of him fathering a secret lovechild with a former network production assistant, whom he paid millions of dollars to keep silent.

CBS confirmed that Marino would still be on board its panel as a football analyst for this Sunday's Super Bowl pregame coverage as originally planned.

"Dan has said all there is to say on this matter, and will be in his usual role on our broadcast Super Bowl Sunday," the network said in a statement given on Thursday.

The NFL Hall of Famer, who has been married to his wife for 28 years, was reportedly unfaithful to her with CBS Sports junior network employee Donna Savattere.

Marino and the Savattere's daughter Chloe, was born in June 2005, and is being raised by Savattere and her now husband, whom she met after her sexual relationship with the former quarterback.

The 51-year-old Marino did come clean to his infidelities, saying via a statement to the New York Post: "This is a personal and private matter. I take full responsibility both personally and financially for my actions now as I did then. We mutually agreed to keep our arrangement private to protect all parties involved."

Marino also stated that he and his wife are still together and celebrated their 28-year anniversary on Wednesday and "continue to be a strong and loving family."

His wife was thought to be staying at their $5 million home on the water in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. as the news of her significant other's affair and love child hit the media outlets on Thursday morning.

Daily Mail reports that Marino met Savattere, (pictured here), as a pregame analyst for CBS, where he's been employed since 2003. The mistress was said to be 35 at the time of their relationship.
