Alec Baldwin and a New York Post photographed filed harassment claims against one another on Sunday with racist and assault accusations thrown in the mix, according to USA Today.

The 30 Rock star tweeted about the incident that happened earlier in the day when he got confrontational with a photographer and had to call police to help him.

"Thank u 2 NYPD officers who came 2 my home 2day so that I could file a formal complaint against NY Post 'photographer' who assaulted me," he wrote. "My publicist has just informed me that the 'photographer' from the Post is claiming I called him a racial epithet, prior to calling the cops.

"That's kind of magical thinking, isn't it? The Post accusing me of racism?"

The Post told their own version of what happened in an article headlined, "Alec fast & slur-ious." The report noted that Baldwin allegedly called a black Post photographer a racial slur - a "crackhead" and a "drug dealer" - during a confrontation in New York on Sunday. Baldwin reportedly was approached by a Post reporter while walking his dogs outside his East Village apartment and was asked to comment on a lawsuit against his wife Hilaria, having to do with her profession as a yoga instructor.

He grabbed the reporter, Tara Palmeri, by the arm and said to her "I want to choke you to death" before he called Post photographer G.N. Miller a "coon, a drug dealer," according to Miller's police statement.

Palmeri also told police of the incident and played for them an audiotape of the conversation between her and Baldwin.

Miller said Baldwin was getting "too aggressive," while Baldwin said the photographer "pushed into him" though he "asked [Miller] to keep his distance." Baldwin also made "disparaging remarks'' about Miller's mother and told him to "suck my d--k," according to the photographer.
