New Orange Is the New Black inmate Judy King (Blair Brown) may sound similar to two famous celebrity chefs, but she is very much her own thing.

'Orange Is the New Black' Star Yael Stone Previews 'Very Powerful' Story Lines To Come

Celebrity chef Judy King was featured in spurts in the third season of Orange Is the New Black, with Poussey (Samira Wiley) being a particularly big fan of hers. Judy wound up being sentenced to Litchfield and will show up in the upcoming fourth season.

Wiley and Brown spoke to TVGuide.com (video featured below) recently about Judy's arrival and how she differs from other celebrity chefs who got in trouble, Martha Stewart and Paula Deen.

How Will Alex Treat Piper For Dismissing Her Paranoia On 'Orange Is the New Black'?

"I think a lot of people think, 'Oh, she cooks, so she's like Martha Stewart.' 'Oh, she Southern. She's like Paula Deen.' She's actually Judy King, a creation of [series creator] Jenji [Kohan] and the writers," Brown noted.

"She's slightly appalling and very good and very cheerful and probably fairly amoral," Brown added. "And it's interesting to watch because she's so other than anybody else in prison. And of course, Judy's greatest ally when she comes in is Poussey Washington."

Based on Judy's celebrity status, she may be even more of a fish out of water than Piper (Taylor Schilling) was in the first season. It remains to be seen how the other inmates will treat such a noteworthy person being among them.

Orange Is the New Black season 4 premieres on Friday, June 17 in full on Netflix.
