Danica Patrick News: Racecar Driver Reveals What Went Wrong At Sprint Cup Series Race [VIDEO]
Danica Patrick revealed her thoughts on her 16th place finish at the STP 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race.
On Tuesday, FOX Sports shared details from the motorist who dished on the damage that got done that day- not just for her, but for others as well.
"I feel like it was one of those typical Martinsville's where there is a lot of body-work damage," Patrick said. "I look at everyone else's car and there is (damage to their cars), too."
Even though the day didn't go as perfectly as Patrick had hoped, she pointed out some of the things that made it a success as well as what went wrong.
"I think our biggest problem was just we generally had some inconsistency with runs," she said. "We should have a good one, then a bad one. Luckily, we started the race off with a good 90 laps where we were really making a lot of progress the last half of it. It wasn't taking off as well (on the restarts) and then we did some changes later on that helped that."
Patrick mentioned there were inconsistencies with tires, which was difficult, but it still turned out be pretty successful overall.
"I think that was kind of one of our problems, but in general I thought we had a pretty solid day," she said. "We had a lot of contact with a lot of cars, but I feel like that is also fun to watch. It's fun to watch as a fan and it makes it fun inside the car."
