He has told her select parts of the story from his sordid past, but now, after another dream while unconscious in a hospital, Nathan (Ryan Paevy) may finally decide to just come clean to Maxie (Kirsten Storms) with the truth about his prior marriage to Claudette on General Hospital.

The issue first came up after he started mentioning Claudette's name after he was shot at Julian (William DeVry) and Alexis' (Nancy Lee Grahn) wedding, and since then, he told Maxie he had married Claudette to give her a Green Card, and the marriage didn't end well. Since then, it has also become clear that Griffin (Matt Cohen) is somehow involved in that past, and whatever happened could land Nathan in jail, though Maxie doesn't know about any of it yet. Now though, after he wakes up following his suffering a brain injury during Carlos' escape, he will realize he said something about a shooting while asleep, and now, Maxie will want more answers.

"You were talking in your sleep," she says in a preview clip for the Thursday, June 2 episode. "Something about a shooting?"

Horrified he may have said too much, Nathan may decide the time to come completely clean with his fiancee has arrived, and may begin to tell her what exactly made his marriage to Claudette end so badly, even if he runs the risk of going to jail as a result. However, when Griffin walks into the room to give an update on his condition, Nathan's confession could be stopped as he may finally recognize Griffin as someone from his past, something that will make both men uneasy.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Griffin asks in the clip.

Nathan already knows that Griffin suffered a gunshot wound of a specific type in his past, after he saw the scar while both were in the locker room. Now, all of the pieces may finally fall into place about his past, and it could keep Nathan from telling Maxie the truth after all.
