He knows he didn't kill Constance but can't prove it since Nick (Joshua Morrow) has refused to exhume her body again, and in an effort to try and have himself kept out of prison, Adam (Justin Hartley) will do whatever he can to prove Victor (Eric Braden) is framing him on The Young and the Restless.

He is already working with Ian (Ray Wise) on the inside at the prison to see if he can get the truth out of Victor, but he knows that such an alliance could be a danger, so he will now seek out Meredith (Alicia Coppola) to see if he can get his father's most recent ally to reveal anything he can use to prove his theory correct.

"I just need to know if my father said anything to you that might indicate the fact that he set me up," he says in a preview clip for the Tuesday, June 7 episode.

However, Meredith feels aligned to Victor, and won't tell Adam anything Victor wouldn't have told him himself, defending him and saying he wouldn't do that to his son.

However, even if she proves to be a dead-end, Adam isn't the only one trying to see if Victor is behind his current misfortune. Dylan (Steve Burton) is on his side and is trying to do whatever he can to help him before his case goes to trial, and in his own attempt to solve the mystery before it destroys Adam and his life with Chelsea (Melissa Clare Egan), he and Paul (Doug Davidson) will set up a command post at Dylan and Sharon's (Sharon Case) as they set up some surveillance to see if they can prove Victor paid someone in either the Medical Examiner's office or on the police force. And that could prove to be the best move made, as Paul may find something that could be the evidence Adam needs to prove his innocence.

The Young and the Restless airs Monday-Friday at 12:30 p.m. on CBS.
