Amongst a plethora of hunky candidates vying for the role of Christian Grey, actor Channing Tatum has resurfaced as a potential suitor once again.

The buzz reignited when a recent fan-made trailer of the Magic Mike was recently posted, starring the 32-year-old as the S & M-crazed CEO.

While Tatum clearly wouldn't be opposed to the racy part, he did give a fair warning to Glamour Magazine that his other half Jenna Dewan, wouldn't be too keen on the idea.

"Yes. I'd only be allowed if my wife was Ana. She's read the books so I don't think she'd be impressed if she couldn't be Ana!"

In an interview for the January issue of InStyle, actress Amanda Seyfried dished on her Dear John co-star's fastly rising popularity amongst the female fan base.

"Everybody wants to have sex with him! And the only person he wants to have sex with is his wife, Jenna. He's the most loyal husband," she said.

Screenwriter Kelly Marcel, who is in the midst of penning the movie script, stated that the flick would be staying true to the book with lots of sex and raunchiness. Producers are shooting for an NC-17 rating, according to a write-up in Style magazine.

Although the producers have yet to officially attach a director to the franchise, Fifty Shades of Grey is slated for its big screen release in summer of 2014. The film will be shot in London.
