The writers from Fashion Police, who are striking due to poor wages, released a video condemning host Joan Rivers for refusing to give them fair compensation.

The three-minute video features Fashion Police writers Jackie Beat, Ned Rice and Eliza Skinner explaining their situation and why they think they deserve better treatment.

"We're just asking for fair compensation," Skinner said in the video. "It's sad to me that she won't give us that." She also expressed her disappointment that Rivers, a woman who meant so much to her, cared so little about Skinner's needs.

Rice said that Rivers is a member of the Writer's Guild of America, yet she won't support her fellow writers.

Beat explained, "actions speak louder than words. If Joan supported the writers, this would be over."

The strike began on Apr. 17, with the Fashion Police writers filing complaints to the state of California saying that neither the show's production team nor the E! network had paid them the agreed-upon $1.5 million in wages and overtime.

Rivers has not commented on the strike, though the E! network released a statement on Tuesday in support of her.

"Joan Rivers has been and remains emphatically supportive of the writers," the statement said. "Her company does not produce Fashion Police nor set the compensation of E! Networks Productions' writers. The personal attacks on Joan are grossly unfair and inaccurate."

E! president Suzanne Kolb released a statement in May blasting the WGA for convincing the writers to protest.

"The WGA has convinced you that a strike is necessary in order to gain a union contract." Kolb said in a statement. "But history at E! has shown that not to be true." She added that the personal attacks directed at Rivers have been "grossly unfair and inaccurate," saying that responsibility lies on her [Kolb's] shoulder, not Rivers'.
