Continuing to build hype for her upcoming album Stars Dance, Selena Gomez released the audio for her new single Birthday this week.

"Blow your dreams away with me," she sings on the tune. "Tell them that it's my birthday when I party like that. Every night's my birthday, they don't know so it's okay."

Perhaps the song is in reference to Gomez's actual birthday on July 22, one day before the album's release. The former Disney star, and Spring Breakers actress, will turn 21.

The singer also released a teaser for the Birthday music video via YouTube on Monday. In the short clip, Gomez is in a club surrounded by a big crowd. The booming track is heard in the background and though Gomez's face is not shown in the video, she swings her hair back and forth.

Stars Dance - the same name as Gomez's first solo upcoming world tour - doesn't only focus on party songs. The star also opens up about her relationship with ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber on the track Love Will Remember.

The 20-year-old spoke about the tune with InStyle in June.

"That's the most personal track on the record, for sure," she said. "I think it's a sweet way of releasing it. It's not an aggressive approach to what people are probably expecting. I'm sure he'll love it too."

Come & Get It, the forthcoming album's lead single, also became Gomez's first No. 1. An emotional Gomez expressed her gratitude via YouTube after she received the news.

"I've done four records and this is the first No. 1 that I've ever had so I can not thank you guys enough. I want to thank every radio station, my label and the most important of all is my fans for loving the song, for requesting it, it means to much to me," she said in the clip. "I love you all."

Stars Dance is her first album without her band The Scene. With her former band, she put out three albums titled Kiss & Tell in 2009, A Year Without Rain in 2010 and When The Sun Goes Down in 2011.

Still, her new record is one that Gomez has expressed great enthusiasm for.

"I'm in a really good place and I'm really happy with everything I've been doing," Gomez told E! News in an April interview. "I'm stoked for my fans to hear the whole album and everything I've been working on."
