Comedian and actor Aziz Ansari is coming back on the scene in a big way with the help of one Mr. Bill Murray for an untitled new film. Not only will Ansari star in the movie, he will also direct, write, and produce the project for Searchlight who has produced past Murray films Darjeeling Limited and The French Dispatch. 

The production is based on the best-selling book called Being Mortal: Medicine and What Happens in the End, which tells the story of the novel's author Atul Gawande who spent his career educating people on the benefits of medicine in terms of  end of life care. The actual plot has not been specified as of yet, neither have been the roles that Ansari and Murray will be playing. 

This would not be the first time Aziz Ansari has put his stamp on a production he has been a part of. Back before he had his minor cancellation in his personal life, he was the star and producer of the popular Netflix series Master of None, which switched focus away from his character of Dev, in season three where the show's lead became Lena Waithe, who co-starred as his friend Denise, shifting the storyline to be about her relationship with her partner Alicia, played by Niaomi Ackie.

Very little is else has been released about the film other than the casting and production. The film is set for a 2023 release. Enstarz will continue to follow this project as more details develop.
