Keeping Up With the Kustody Battle: Kanye West and Kim Kardashian Look Like They May Be Heading to Another Hearing

The custody battle between Kim Kardashian and Kanye West will be settled one way or another.

While Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are legally single, they split their court proceedings in two parts. This allowed for the binding establishment of their single-hood to be declared rapidly while simultaneously pushing larger decisions to later hearings. One of these top issues: custody of the children.

This issue has been a major source of contention for the former couple. In an exclusive with US Weekly, an insider shared that, "

"Kim is deeply hurt by the fact that North could come across Kanye's posts and it could affect her...She's doing her best with the joint custody, but there are certain things that are hard to control."

Kim K's current boyfriend, comedian Pete Davidson, recently joined the conversation, defending Kim's high-quality parenting and imploring Kanye to stop his berating in order to spare his children the tension and stress as they grow up.

Ye has ceaselessly griped that the Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum has been actively keeping his children away from him. Most recently, he took to Instagram, posting a photo of pins he saw on his daughter's backpack. The pins depicted himself, Kim Kardashian, and an alien. The rapper captioned the photo:

"This was on my daughter's backpack when I was 'allowed' to see her last week. This is why I go so hard for my family. I am wired to protect my family at all cost. As the priest of my home. Don't worry Northy. God is still alive."

Kardashian, however, was quick to leave a clarifying comment:

"Please stop with this narrative, you were just here this morning picking the kids up for school."

Kim asserts that she has welcomed West's involvement in the children's life while West maintains that he has been banned from seeing them.

The two hoped that they would be able to make arrangements outside of court, but, with these heightened tensions, particularly those surrounding the reality star's relationship with comedian Pete Davidson, it seems the exes will most likely be setting a court date shortly.
