In the aftermath of The Slap Heard 'Round The World, it seems we got the opinions of literally everyone in Hollywood...except for the one person whose opinion we really need.

Jada Pinkett-Smith - the subject of the joke that caused this whole debacle, and the person whose honor Will Smith was defending in the first place, was dead silent after the slap her husband gave to Chris Rock after he joked about her alopecia - a condition he apparently did not know about at the time - at the Oscars Sunday night.

Well, now, Jada has finally said SOMETHING...and given us literally nothing. The actress posted this on her Instagram today:

We're going to take these general platitudes as a signal that Jada does not wish to speak publicly on the incident yet - which we can't blame her for. No matter what she says if and when she finally does actually verbally address The Slap - which feels unavoidable at this point - it WILL inevitably affect her career.

If she comes out in support of Will in any way, she's supporting her husband and "justifying" what he did; if she disavaows what he did in any way, she'll be called a horrible wife and Will Smith will forever have a reputation as an irrational hothead in the eyes of many.

It's a sticky situation, and this Instagram post did very little to diffuse the tension, although it did let SOME air out. Unfortunately, it looks like things are still unfolding, and we'll just have to wait as they develop.
