Talk about your real life superheroes: Known for playing on-screen heroines the likes of Lara Croft and the MCU's Thena in last year's Eternals, actress Angelina Jolie decided to live up to her cinematic legacy by taking a surprise trip to Ukraine.

Spotted in the city of Lviv, Jolie was recorded by a patron of a local cafe, where she was waiting in line. As we're sure she expected, she was quickly asked for her autograph by the other customers. She seemed more than happy to comply with their requests.

For those not in the know, Jolie has been a Special Envoy to the United Nations since 2011, when she worked with displaced refugees in Yemen. Since then, the mother of six - three of whom she adopted, from Cambodia, Ethiopia, and Vietnam, respectively - has worked to educate leaders about the growing refugee crisis  so many countries throughout the world are facing today.

As reported by The Kyiv Independent, the actress is in Ukraine "to welcome the internally displaced Ukrainians arriving on an evacuation train from Pokrovsk, a city in Donetsk Oblast."

The news agency also posted clips of Angelina on their Twitter feed as she moved through the crowds of excited fans and onlookers.

It is always a breath of fresh air when celebrity is used as a tool for good in a normally vapid and look-based industry. Whether it's visiting a children's ward at a hospital, as Chris Pratt and other MCU actors have, or the way Betty White donated her time and energy towards animal rights until her last days - these are the ways fame should be used. While they're blessed with a job which pays one to pretend for a living, it's their real-life actions that can really make a difference in our world.
