Benedict Cumberbatch is gearing up to host this weekend's episode of Saturday Night Live.

From the new Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness to Power of the Dog to Spider-Man: No Way Home, Benedict Cumberbatch has definitely been busy lately; and he is now adding hosting SNL to that list.

The phenomenally talented British star will be hosting the sketch show on Saturday May 7th, 2022, alongside famed musical guest Arcade Fire. In order to promote tomorrow night's episode, Cumberbatch and the band (which sounds like a band name in its own right) stood together with SNL cast member Ego Nwodim.

Naturally, it's hilarious.

Cumberbatch does his best to introduce himself and the upcoming show in the video. Instead, EVERYONE begins introducing themselves, cutting Cumberbatch off at every turn.

It is a hilarious kind of unable-to-get-a-thought-out routine that has all of us OG Sherlock stans absolutely doubled over with laughter - specifically when Cumberbatch relinquishes to the comedic idiocy in a way so hilariously Sherlockian that it makes us want to re-binge the show all over again.

In fact...

Well, before we move on to watching Sherlock again, we are going to be tuning into Saturday Night Live tomorrow night.

This marks the second time that the multi-faceted star will take the 8H stage to host the time-tested sketch show. He first hosted back in November of 2016, with musical guest Solange.

We cannot wait to see what absolutely unquestionable hilarity he brings to the show six years later.
