The Emmy nominations are out, and some shows hit it big - but some of the omissions from the list of nominees are yelling louder than those who were nominated.

People across the internet are crying out over the omission of actors from the list of nominees from the 74th annual Emmy Awards. Most of these outcrys are surrounding shows that were widely nominated in various other categories.

Only Murders in the Building was nominated for seventeen different Emmy Awards. Stranger Things was nominated for thirteen. Even with these high scoring numbers, fans of both shows are pointing specifically to the Lead Actress category, drawing attention to the absence of Selena Gomez, Sadie Sink, and Millie Bobby Brown from the list of nominees.

Both of Gomez's co-stars, Steve Martin and Martin Short were nominated for Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. However, Selena Gomez was not included on the list of nominees for Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.

Fans across the internet are deeming this a massive slight, saying the star absolutely deserved the nomination for being part of the tri-fecta to lead this comedy series to its massive success.

Gomez is nominated in other parts of the list. As Only Murders in the Building was nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series, Gomez has officially become the second Latina to be nominated as a producer.

While two other cast members were nominated for lead actor for their work on Only Murders in the Building, no one was nominated in either leading role category for the hit Netflix series Stranger Things.

This may just be the strangest thing of all. The show is known for its exceptional performances.

This season specifically showcased the incredible talents of Sadie Sink and Millie Bobby Brown. The intense and nuanced performances displayed by both of these actresses has the world in utter disbelief that they were not nominated in the leading actress category.

While we congratulate everyone who was nominated, we know that those that were not still gave unbelievably exceptional performances!
