PBS' Downton Abbey continues to garner attention for its fourth season, which is set to hit the U.S. small screen in early 2014.

Many loyalists of the program are undoubtedly wondering just how things will pan out between Anna (Joanne Froggatt) and Bates (Brendan Coyle), whose relationship is rumored to be having some rocky roads ahead, according to Zap2it.

While in attendance for the 2013 TCA Press Tour, Froggatt had elaborated on the TV couple's future, stating that the two will at the very least will be starting off on the right foot.

"There is a period of happiness which carries on and it's lovely. It's nice to play the drama, that's what I like to do, but it was really nice to see them happy as a couple," she said.

While Anna and Bates begin the upcoming season on a high note, Froggatt admitted that they'll indeed be some rocky roads ahead.

"They do start off Season 4 happy, but as always in Downton, there are some trials and tribulations ahead. The usual highs and lows that we expect from all the different characters. We've got nice stories this year," she said.

Being that there are some new babies on the show, the actress was also queried on whether she thought a baby was in the cards for Anna.

"I couldn't possibly say. I couldn't possibly say. That's up to the powers that are [creator] Julian Fellowes. I wouldn't like to make a comment on that one," Froggatt said.
