"Don't Worry Darling" star Olivia Wilde speaks out on the "vicious" incident that took place in CinemaCon in relation to her custody battle with Jason Sudeikis.

During the 2022 CinemaCon, Wilde was giving a talk onstage about her second film as a director, "Don't Worry Darling". In the middle of her speech, Olivia was served an envelope containing legal papers from her divorce with actor Jason Sudeikis.

In a recent interview with Variety, the actress had dubbed it as a "really vicious" attack as it was done in her "workplace" and would have ruined the moment to promote the movie to exhibitors. Fortunately, Wilde expressed that she was "not easily distracted."

"I hated that this nastiness distracted from the work of so many different people and the studio that I was up there representing. To try to sabotage that was really vicious." She explained before adding, "But, you know, sadly, it was not something that was entirely surprising to me. I mean, there's a reason I left that relationship."

However, her ex-fiance Jason Sudeikis claims that he had "no prior knowledge" that the legal documents would be served during her onstage talk at CinemaCon, and that the act had been up to the process service company handling the documents.

While the 38 year old actress remained unfazed during the incident onstage, she expressed concern for her children, who would have to witness the controversial event amidst the custody battle.

CinemaCon Security Breach

The "Tron: Legacy" actress also expressed her disappointment regarding the lengths the attack had gone through to surpass CinemaCon security.

"The hurdles that you had to jump through to get into that room with several badges, plus special COVID tests that had to be taken days in advance, which gave you wristbands that were necessary to gain access to the event - this was something that required forethought," Wilde analyzed.

Mitch Neuhauser, the head of CinemaCon, told the Hollywood Reporter that they would make it a point to re-evaluate security measures after the controversial incident.
