Brittany Mahomes' Old Tweets Allegedly Slamming Taylor Swift Resurface

Patrick Mahomes' wife Brittany Mahomes is now growing closer to pal Taylor Swift, but she may not have always been a fan of the pop superstar.

Brittany has been photographed multiple times in recent months hanging out with Swift amid the latter's romance with Patrick's pal and Kansas City Chiefs teammate Travis Kelce.

But Swifties recently dug up old tweets by Brittany that appeared to take jabs at the "Anti-Hero" hitmaker.

"Taylor Swift, I wanna know when [you're] gonna find something different to write about besides boys and relationships..." she allegedly tweeted in 2012 along with the hashtag for "time for something new."

"You could have just shaken it off like Taylor Swift said - @PatrickMahomes5," a 2016 tweet read.

"Taylor Swift winning everything<<<<," she wrote in 2013, along with an angry face emoji.

Instagram account Riri's Tea pointed out that the 2013 tweet was posted the day after the 2013 American Music Awards, where Swift took home four trophies. 

The tweets have since been removed.

Some slammed Brittany over the tweets, with one Instagram user commenting on Riri's Tea's video: "And now she wants [to] be chummy with Taylor after she's at the pinnacle of her success... Talk about sleazy pick me and MOLE."

Another appeared to reference Swift's past feud with Kim Kardashian, writing, "The Skiims (sic) of it all though," along with snake emojis.

But many others defended Brittany, emphasizing that the posts were from a decade ago when she was a teenager.

"When I was younger, I was embarrassed to listen to Taylor because society deemed her as 'lame,'" one Instagram user wrote. "But now I love her unapologetically. People can grow and learn from their past tweets."

"The negative ones are from [10] years ago, people can change and mature. Plus, she's actually getting to know Taylor now, and a lot of the times that can prove to someone that a person isn't who they thought," another commented.

Swift previously faced criticism from fans over her friendship with Brittany because the latter defended her brother-in-law Jackson Mahomes amid allegations that he shoved a young male waiter multiple times and forcibly attempted to kiss Aspen Vaughn, the owner of Overland Park's Aspens Restaurant and Bar Lounge, earlier this year.

Jackson was arrested in May on charges of aggravated sexual battery. The case is still in progress.

When asked about how she feels about Jackson during a previous Instagram Q&A, Brittany responded, "They are ignorant. He is a human just trying to live his life and find his way and until you walk a day in his shoes (which no one ever will) you have no right to say s--t about him," according to TMZ.

"So it's best to just shut up," she added.

Her response resurfaced after photos of her hanging out with Swift made headlines, sparking backlash.

One user tweeted: "Taylor Swift being friends with Brittany Mahomes is probably the worst thing she's done in her career."

Despite this, Swift's friendship with Brittany appears to be going strong. The pair attended several Chiefs games together and were recently spotted stepping out for dinner with Sophie Turner, Gigi Hadid, Selena Gomez and Cara Delevingne.
