Kobe Bryant may be one the greatest of all time in basketball, but according to his former friend, his personality is far from great.

Kevin "Sandman" Sanchez, a friend of Kobe's from Lower Merion High School in Philadelphia, PA, sat down with "Blood on the Razor Wire TV" on April 29, to talk about the Los Angeles Lakers legend.

In the interview, Sanchez had scathing remarks about the NBA icon, including how his ego allegedly inflated as he grew from a local high school athlete to a superstar in one of the most famous teams in sports.

"To me, he's not a good person," Sanchez told the online talk show's host, Chad Marks.

"As far as us, that was his original friends ... he s**ted on all of us at the end of it. To keep it real, he s**ted on every single one of us. He made new friends when he went out there (to LA), and he cut everybody off, including his family members."

Sanchez also pointed out how Kobe allegedly failed to help him while he was struggling with being "falsely accused" of robbery in 1996, the same year Bryant was drafted in the NBA as the 13th overall pick in the first round.

According to the rapper, Kobe was with him when the crime occurred miles away, so he could not have been the suspect. However, he claimed the LA superstar did not testify in favor of him to help him stay out of jail.

"He was a witness to keep men out of jail, [but] like he didn't testify. And you know, I understand why he didn't...he was on his way to the NBA," said Sanchez, who served time for the crime.

He added that while Kobe tried to bail him out and even provided him with lawyers, "the thing about it was the lawyers made up a game plan along with Kobe's advisers for Kobe never to show (up in court)."

Bryant, he said, would have been the "star witness" to prove his innocence, but his camp -- including Kobe's mom -- refused to let him take the stand "fully because of his image."

Sanchez, who says he was "best friends" with the late athlete, also claimed that one of the Oscar winner's cousins had agreed that Bryant was indeed a "piece of s**t."

"His cousin came to me, he said, 'Kev, I'm gonna tell you something about this guy. Dude is a certified piece of s**t,'" he recounted.

Sanchez added, "the man never did nothing for nobody in his family. I mean, he's he got a $500 million empire, his sisters was [still] working regular jobs."

He added that when Kobe became an NBA star, he stopped caring about anyone else except "his wife and them and the new family."

He also claimed that when Kobe met his wife, Vanessa Bryant, he "never came back" to his hometown.

"I'm telling you, man, he's a bad guy. Everybody can praise him and say what they want, but we [are] his real friends," Sanchez added.

Despite Sanchez's shocking revelations, fans were quick to defend the late basketball Hall of Famer, calling Sanchez a "liability" and a "clown."

"Sounds like Kobe separated himself from a liability to maximize his blessings [sneezing emoji] N***a can't even respect him while he's dead so I can only imagine what type of dude he was while Kobe was here," one user wrote.

"You ask for money, Kobe said no, now you mad and you still without money. What a clown. You were never his friend," another X user said.

Other netizens were less forgiving.

"F**k this n***a," one post read.

Another user wrote, "Another bum feeling entitled to another man's money?"
