Queen Camilla received praise for her composure during an engagement in Jersey.

King Charles and Queen Camilla were recently removed from an engagement in Jersey due to a security concern, which later turned out to be a "false alarm." The British monarch and his wife were taken to a nearby hotel while the incident was being investigated.

Michael Cole, a former BBC royal correspondent, spoke about the incident with GB News. According to him, what caught his attention when he analyzed the incident was the Queen's "coolness" after she was informed about the security concern.

"I'm sure there's a sort of heightened sense of security concern because of events in America, which we know about from Saturday night," he told the outlet, referring to the shooting incident involving former President Donald Trump at a rally in Pennsylvania.

"But what stands out for me is the coolness of the Queen. She was eating an ice cream at the time, one of her aides whispered in her ear that there was a security concern, and she was taken away with the King to a nearby hotel. She continued eating her ice cream, so rather like Drake before the Armada, she concentrated on the important things first."

Cole stressed that any security concern "is serious." He also recalled that His Majesty encountered a security incident decades ago in Australia.

"30 years ago in Sydney, a young man with a starting pistol fired it twice. And I remember very clearly the Prince of Wales, as he then was, had a police protection officer called Inspector Colin Trimming, and he jumped on this young man who fired these shots and wrestled him to the ground," Cole shared.

"The King stood on and looked in bemusement, fiddled with his cufflinks and looked at the scene."

It wasn't the first time Queen Camilla's composure caught attention. In 2022, just a week after Queen Elizabeth passed away, King Charles ascended the throne and made headlines due to a leaking pen.

"I hate the bloody thing," King Charles muttered, seemingly losing his temper after signing a sovereign oath during the Accession Council with a leaking pen. "Every stinking time."

The British monarch grumbled a bit more before leaving the room. However, his wife, who was standing at a distance, remained cool. When it was her turn, Camilla sat down while the cameras were rolling and signed the guestbook without any complaint.

"It seems that 'the most hated woman in Britain' has morphed Into the Queen of Cool," Nancy McKeon, a writer, author and managing editor of My Little Bird, wrote on Prime Women.
