Kate Middleton's chemotherapy for cancer is not yet over, but there is "lots of positivity" among her loved ones about her making a full recovery, according to a new report.

Royal fans have been concerned about Middleton's health since she seemingly disappeared from the public eye after undergoing abdominal surgery in January and subsequently getting diagnosed with cancer.

The Princess of Wales has made just two public appearances this year -- at Trooping the Colour in June and Wimbledon last month -- as she undergoes chemotherapy for her cancer.

However, a "friend" of Princess Kate and her husband Prince William said that these appearances were "a clear signal" that Middleton is "doing well" amid her cancer treatment.

"That is what we are hearing privately as well -- it's not over but there is lots of optimism, lots of positivity," the unnamed pal told the Daily Beast.

The friend went on to share that Middleton's chemotherapy is still "ongoing" but that "all the signs" indicate it is "progressing well."

Middleton's diary remains empty, and she is not expected to return to public duty anytime soon, an anonymous Buckingham Palace insider told the outlet.

According to the second source, Princess Kate is currently prioritizing spending time with her three children with Prince William following her "brush with mortality."

The palace insider also shared an update on the cancer battle of Middleton's father-in-law King Charles, who was also diagnosed with an unspecified cancer earlier this year.

The 75-year-old monarch is reportedly "still unwell" and his cancer "hasn't gone away" despite him giving "the impression that everything is fine."

"It is noticeable to those of us who are aware of such things that the engagements are shorter and carefully scheduled; for example, he sometimes arrives by helicopter at the last minute before being choppered away and presumably collapsing in an armchair at home," the palace source told the Daily Beast.

King Charles returned to public duties in April and has since attended several royal engagements in the U.K. and overseas.

While chatting with veterans in a May engagement, the monarch revealed one detail about his cancer treatment, which was that he'd lost his sense of taste after he began undergoing chemotherapy, according to the Daily Mail.

Meanwhile, Middleton shared a rare health update in June ahead of her Trooping the Colour appearance.

Princess Kate said she was "not out of the woods yet" and had her "good days and bad days" amid her chemotherapy.

Middleton also said that while she hoped to attend "a few public engagements over the summer," she would rather prioritize her health and take "this much-needed time to heal."
