The two-man boblsed continues on Monday for the gold medal round in Sochi.

The Winter Olympics qualifying round took place on Sunday and the Russian duo, Alexander Zubkov and Alexey Voevoda, came in at No. 1.

Following the host-nation was the Swiss team Beat Hefti and Alex Baumann while U.S. team Steven Holcomb and Steve Langton came in at No. 3.

Jamaica, competing in the sport for the first time since the 2002 Olympics, was last in 30th place.

Winston Watts, who competed in bobsleigh in 1994, 1998 and 2002, teamed up with Marvin Dixon this year. Despite their low ranking, Watts and Dixon intend to make a comeback.

"We haven't had long to prepare and still have a few things to work on, but I'm sure we'll be going quicker tomorrow," Deen told BBC Sport.

Watts also explained, "We're not jokers - we're serious contenders. This is not an excuse but things didn't go the way we wanted them to. But we have come here and we have gone out to compete the best we can and to show the world that we're still alive."
