Witches of East End is about to become even more dark and demented based on the latest promo that delves into the eerie, sinister world.

New Character Joins The Series?

The promo that was published on Friday shows random glimpses of creepy images, including spiders and scorpions crawling on skin. As hard rock starts to play, bleeding skulls rise and actress Jenna Dewan-Tatum comes out in a black leather dress.

The teaser continues with more of a blend of deranged lunacy crossed with sexy shots of the actors. Some of them walk in white T-shirts while others are on their knees with their hands clasped together, reaching to the gods.

Other clips show chains between teeth, snarling wolves and shards of glass exploding.

The promo ends with a tagline that says "Darkness is rising" as a mysterious figure in a hood stands on the street.

There was a recent report from E! News that a new character named Alex would appear on the series who will likely be someone to watch out for.

"When Lifetime's witchy drama returns for its second season, it's bringing our new favorite character with it," the site said. "Not only is Alex ridiculously beautiful, confident and intelligent - she also has a dark side."

Alex is also supposed to be knowledgeable when it comes to weapons.

"One piece of advice: Do not get on her bad side," the site added.

Witches of East End Season 2 is set to premiere on Sunday July 6 at 9 p.m. ET on Lifetime.
