'Real Housewives of New York City's' Jill Zarin is Still Fans' Favorite - 'We Miss Her' [Exclusive]
On Sept. 6, during Lord &Taylor's event for Fashion's Night Out in New York City, Jill Zarin came out to sign autographed copies of her photos for fans and to promote her new jewelry line named after her. However, many fans that met the reality star could not help but mention "The Real Housewives of New York City" and how they miss their favorite star.
"I was so upset after you left the show. I don't watch the 'Housewives' anymore," one fan said.
As Zarin walked through the crowd after her signing was over, one fan shouted, "We miss you on the 'Housewives.' Not the other one [who left] with Simon," referring to former star Alex McCord.
Zarin just smiled and made no comment on the remarks made by her fans, but she must have realized how beloved she was on the show by many.
From the original "Housewives" cast, that first aired when the show debuted on Bravo in 2008, LuAnn de Lesseps and Ramona Singer are the only two still on the show, currently in its fifth season. Zarin left the show last year after being fired, along with Kelly Bensimon and McCord.
"I have had the highest highs and lowest lows, but right now I'm very peaceful," Jill told the Huffington Post back in June, soon before the new season and cast was to air on television. "I have a little anxiety with the show coming back, because I have never had this outpouring of love from fans all over the world saying they will miss me. I didn't expect they would miss me. That's the circle of life. I will always be grateful to the show."
The show highlighted her first joyous and then eventually failed friendship with fellow castmate and Skinnygirl entrepreneur Bethenny Frankel, and her constant bickering with Singer. Her family life with her daughter and husband Bobby was also shown.
Bobby accompanied his wife on Fashion's Night Out. During the signing, Zarin jokingly made a comment about the fans coming up to her for an autograph and the coincidence in their similar names.
"Kellys and Jills all night. I should write that down," she said.
