A topless picture of actress Alison Pill has gone viral on the web and it wasn't due to anonymous phone hackers.

The "Newsroom" star accidentally tweeted a self-portrait of herself posed topless while lying down on a bed.

When the HBO star realized her mistake, thanks to critical feedback she received by a few of her 13,790 followers, Pill deleted the tweet and issued an apology.

"Yep. That picture happened. Ugh. My tech issues have now reached new heights, apparently. How a deletion turned into a tweet... Apologies," she tweeted.

Pill's fiancé, actor Jay Baruchel took it all in stride- he displayed humor in his reaction to the mishap on twitter:

"My fiancee is an [sic] hilarious dork. #imustgladitdidnthappentomefirst." Two minutes later, he added , "Smartphones will get ya. CC @msalisonpill #vivaludditism."

According to several reports, "Newroom" lead star Aaron Sorki reacted to the news of her mistake by licking his lips and began rewriting story ideas for Pill's character on the show.
