She recently had her decision to divorce her husband and free him up to marry his fourth wife broadcast on her family's hit show Sister Wives, but today, Meri Brown is dealing with something far more tragic than her legal marriage coming to an end.

Brown Family Admits They Feared Going To Prison

Kody's first wife shared with fans on Twitter March 11 to let them know that she had learned her brother had passed away yesterday, and she was now dealing with the devastating heartbreak that came from losing someone so special to her.

"Around 2 AM Tuesday March 10, I lost my brother. Getting a call from mom in the middle of the night, you know something is wrong," she wrote, before continuing with an explanation that appeared to hint her brother may have been sick-though she didn't go into explicit details.

"Marc was the oldest of our family. He was in a lot of emotional & physical pain. I know he is feeling some peace now & I'm so glad he does. I feel happy knowing dad and our sister both welcomed him home. This has been a joyful & sorrowful day," she added. Meri also reached out on Twitter to thank all those who have been supporting her during this difficult time.

"I am so grateful to special people in my life who have reached out to show their love & support. I pray for mom always, in yet another loss," she wrote.
