Tragedy struck a Georgia megachurch Wednesday morning when a gunman opened fire killing one person.

The incident occurred at a chapel at the World Changers Church International in College Park, Georgia. The suburban church is famous for its pastor Creflo Dollar who can be seen on the television program "Changing Your World."

The CNN affiliate WXIA in Georgia reported that the shooting took place Wednesday morning when a man carrying a gun walked into the church and opened fire.

So far one person has been killed by the shooting, according to Cpl. Kay Lester, a spokesperson for the Fulton County Police Department.

The identity of the shooter has not been released and the authorities say that the person is still on the loose. Police continue to investigate the scene and look for the suspect.

Emergency services were called to the scene and CPR was performed on the injured person who eventually succumbed to the gunshot and died. The identity of the victim has yet to be released.

It's unclear at this time if the shooting took place during a morning church service as the World Changers Church International routinely has meetings during weekday mornings.

Dollar has become a very famous preacher and his church reportedly has around 30,000 members. The pastor preaches the the Prosperity Gospel with the message that God promised generosity in this life and that believers can claim it.
