Fighting was Hector "Macho" Camacho's life and in death, it still followed him.

A brawl broke out at the funeral for the legendary boxer between his sisters and two reported lovers. The wake was held in the Puerto Rican capital of San Juan for the 50-year-old boxer, according to Yahoo.

The catfight began when 28-year-old Cynthia Castillo, who claimed to be a girlfriend of the boxer, kissed Camacho's body in the casket and moved into the area of the funeral reserved for the deceased's family. This did not go over well with the family and his former lover Gloria Fernandez, who started a physical altercation with Castillo.

When police got involved, they asked Castillo to leave the service.

Camacho made a big impression in his country and in his sport during his life.

"Everybody loved him here in Puerto Rico," said Henry Neumann, secretary of the island's sports and recreation department. "He is one of those athletes who transcended the barriers of his country, not only for his skill inside the ring, but for his personality."

Camacho was shot in the face on Nov. 20 while sitting in a parked car along with a friend outside a bar in his hometown of Bayamon. The friend died at the scene, but Camacho died three days later when he was declared brain dead and taken off of life support.

Police said they have suspects but an arrest has not been made in the case.

During Camacho's 30-year career as a boxer, he fought many high-profile bouts with contenders like Felix Trinidad, Julio Cesar Chavez and Sugar Ray Leonard. As a winner in the super lightweight, lightweight and junior welterweight world divisions, his career high helped him earn a record of 79-6-3.

Camacho had problems with drugs and alcohol, and was arrested several times for violence. Last year, Camacho was shot in Puerto Rico as he drove away from who he claimed were carjackers.

His last big fight was shortly around his birthday in 2010.
