NCIS is currently in production for its 13th season and while the cast has been pretty hush-hush on what they are shooting for the most part, the title of the premiere episode has now been released.

Pauley Perrette Teases A Familiar Face Will Return For 'NCIS' Season 13 Premiere

TVLine reported Monday that the season opener is called Stop the Bleeding, which sounds extremely telling considering how things left off in the previous season's finale.

Mark Harmon's character Gibbs took a couple of gunshots in a marketplace in Iraq and everyone has been buzzing about whether he will live or not.

Will The Dearly Departed Mike Franks Return To 'NCIS' Next Season?

The title of the premiere episode makes it sound as though Gibbs could bleed out from the wounds, but would the series really kill him off?

Harmon even hinted back in May that he may or may not make it.

Clearly time will tell, but we do know the premiere episode is picking up right where the previous season's finale left off so there will be plenty of scattered emotions to go around as Gibbs fares with the wounds and the others react in the marketplace.

Another possible meaning behind the title of the premiere episode for the 13th season of NCIS is that Gibbs will stop the bleeding and then the team will kick butt as usual and apprehend The Calling.

What do you think of the season opener's title?

NCIS returns to CBS in the fall on Sept. 22 at 8 p.m. ET.
