O.J. Simpson was left out of the 'In Memoriam' segment of Thursday night's 2024 ESPY Awards.

According to 'TMZ,' the ceremony shared a presentation honoring the memory of athletes who died within the last year. Simpson was not included in the tribute of athletes.

The decision to keep him out of the slideshow comes after the Pro Football Hall of Famer was included during the 2024 BET Awards 'In Memoriam' piece. When his picture appeared on screen, the photo was met with awkward silence during the live telecast.

Among many enraged by the action, the family of Nicole Brown spoke out about what they considered heartlessness and thoughtlessness on behalf of the network.

According to 'NBC News,' Nicole's sister Tanya called giving an "abuser and murderer recognition" was "inappropriate."

"Whoever thought of doing that owes every domestic violence victim an apology ... and that's including our family," she said. "And, they should be fired."

Father of Ron Goldman, Fred Goldman, told 'TMZ' the network "shouldn't include anyone of that caliber -- a wife beater, murderer ... can't imagine why they would include someone like that."

One Twitter user tweeted, "I nearly changed the channel once OJ Simpson popped up on the screen during that 'In Memoriam' at the Bet Awards 2024. Like no.... He should have been excluded."
