'Basketball Wives LA' Season 4: Tami Roman & Boyfriend Reggie 'Still Have Faith' After Miscarriage [VIDEO]
Extremely sad news for Basketball Wives LA star Tami Roman as her and her boyfriend Reggie Youngblood have lost their unborn child through a miscarriage. But they haven’t lost hope on expanding their family.
Tami Roman Slams Haters After Announcing Pregnancy ‘The Negativity Is Overwhelming’
The reality star, who also stars with Reggie in WeTV’s Marriage Bootcamp: Reality Stars, told the news to E! News Thursday.
“I am deeply saddened that after 10.5 weeks, we suffer this loss. We knew this would be an uphill battle. We were against the odds. I have prolapsed uterus and am diabetic. I battle bouts of hypoglycemia due to my diabetes and my blood pressure continually ran high. We were prayerful, we had and still have faith. We are not giving up.”
Reggie also made a statement to the site and warned critics not to spread negativity as they mourn their loss.
“This is a tough time for us. It is the worst pain I’ve felt since losing my mother. I want people to understand the sensitivity of this situation. We are hurting and negative comments don’t help.”
Roman and Reggie were exposed to lots of hate during the already tough pregnancy as many blasted her for getting pregnant in her mid-40s.
Roman was extremely ecstatic when she announced the news of her pregnancy on Love & Hip Hop Atlanta: The After Party last month. At the time she was only six weeks along.
Roman is mother to Lyric & Jazz from her previous marriage to former NBA star Kenny Anderson.
Roman’s former Basketball Wives co-star Evelyn Lozada also recently announced she suffered a miscarriage as well.
Prayers and condolences to both families during their tough time.
