That may be the case right now based on the actress's latest Instagram photo. In the new snapshot, Tonkin sports a long-sleeve blue top with white dots and jeans. As she sits down, she crosses her arms and has a less-than-impressed look on her face. While a few stars can be seen in the background, there's something else pretty enticing that stands out- a fancy gold band around one of her left fingers.
It may not mean anything, but it definitely seems like Tonkin and her Vampire Diaries boyfriend might be more committed than some expected them to be. The gold ring on the actress's finger gives insight on where her relationship with Wesley might be headed.

Tonkin has been busy working on vampire spinoff series The Originals. When she's not at work, the 26-year-old told Live the Process what she likes to do when she gets a break.
"After working such long hours on set (sometimes 16 or 17 hour days!), I make sure that weekends are my downtime," Tonkin said. "I really use that for 'me time.' It's important to let your body and mind rest, whether that means exercising, sleeping, reading, catching up with friends or watching a movie."
Neither Tonkin nor Wesley have said anything about an official engagement.
