It turns out the National Enquirer was the big spender when it cashed out on hundreds of thousands of dollars of the exclusive snapshot of Brown in what was said to be her last days. The photo was reportedly taken by one of her family members. It’s not clear exactly who yet. But the publication purchased it and published it on its site Wednesday.

To add insult to to injury, the magazine published it on the cover of its most recent print issue with the caption “Whitney’s Daughter: The Last Photo.”
Just underneath is a photo of Whitney Houston lying in her casket. The iconic singer passed away on Feb. 11, 2012.
That caption reads, “Inside The Tragic Deathbed Scene Before Bobbi Kristina Was Reunited With Her Mom.”
It’s said that the National Enquirer coughed up $100,000 for the picture. As for who took it, the Browns say it is the Houston clan while the Houstons point their fingers at the Brown family.
Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away on July 26, nearly six months to the date after she was discovered unconscious in her bathtub on Jan. 31. Police have opened a criminal investigation to find out what happened leading up to the now fatal incident. In shocking similarities, Houston was also found unresponsive in a bathtub. Her death was ruled an accident.
