After Neve Campbell's casting for season 4 of House of Cards was announced the storyline for season 4 has become clearer.
Deadline had hinted that Cambell's character might rival Frank (Kevin Spacey) in the next chapter. This fits in with another spoiler relating to a younger power couple being introduced in the Netflix political drama. Could Campbell's character be one half of this power couple?
There has been no news about any new series regulars joining the cast.
In other show-related news, rumors are aswirl about Doug Stamper (Michael Kelly) dying in season 4.
Showrunner Responds To Criticism Of Rachel's Murder On House of Cards
While Kelly hasn't given away anything about his character arc in the next chapter he did suggest that anything was possible on the show. In an interview with the Inquisitr, the actor revealed that showrunner Beau Willimon was anything but predictable.
"I was alive at the end of three, that's all I can say. I wouldn't be surprised if Beau was behind my bedroom door right now. I put nothing past him," he said.
While miraculous resuscitations are possible, Kelly is also aware of the dispensability of key characters on the show.
Breathecast sourced another quote from Kelly in an interview with Deadline wherein he suggested that his character would always be vulnerable.
"It's House of Cards, right? They do not hesitate to kill great characters," he said.
Season 4 is set to return in 2016.
