Corey Simms' father is proud of the man he's become.

Although Simms, along with his ex-wife Leah Messer, have faced backlash because of their ongoing feuds on Teen Mom 2, Jeff Simms feels he's doing great as the father of his 5-year-old twin girls, Ali and Aleeah.

"I couldn't be prouder of the man and father Corey has turned out to be," Jeff wrote on Thursday morning, hours before the new episode is scheduled to air.

Corey Simms Addresses Daughter Ali's Muscular Dystrophy During 'Teen Mom 2' Q&A

Throughout season six, Simms and Messer have been at odds over Messer's behavior. Months prior to filming, Simms filed for custody of their twins after learning Messer had failed to take Ali, who suffers from muscular dystrophy, to many of her physical therapy appointments, and been late getting the girls to school a whopping 10 times in just one month.

Last week, during the new episode of Teen Mom 2, Simms participated in a Facebook Q&A, via Starcasm, during which he spoke about Messer's two divorces, one from him and a second from Jeremy Calvert, the father of her 2-year-old.

“I’d say it will be very hard on her to do all that. That’s why I’m trying my best to help her out in such a stressful time. Got to do what’s best for them babies,” Simms said of Messer's relationship struggles.
