'Once Upon a Time' Season 5 News: Episode 2 Centers On 'A Ball At Camelot,' But Who Is The Special Guest?
It's going to be a royal affair when ABC's Once Upon a Time returns for season 5.
'Once Upon a Time's Regina Will Have 'Huge Impact' On Bringing Emma Back From Darkness?
A royal ball in Camelot will be the center of season 5, episode 2, according to a new TVGuide.com report. Once Upon a Time co-creators Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz spoke with the publication and teased the episode.
"I can tell you Episode 2 is a ball at Camelot," Kitsis said. "Eduardo [Castro], our fantastic costume designer, re-created it. It looks unlike anything we've done on the show before. It's spectacular."
'Once Upon a Time's Charming Has 'Tension' With Snow, 'Bromance' With King Arthur
The ball will have a special guest of honor, according to the report, though the co-creators are tight-lipped on who it's going to be.
The co-creators spoke on a theory that the special guest might be Merida (Amy Manson), without necessarily confirming anything.
"This is the show where the Wicked Witch is sisters with the Evil Queen and they also know Cruella DeVil, so what a bummer if we had King Arthur and he never got to meet Merida," Kitsis teased.
"There's a mash-up quality in what Merida's going through, what's happening in Camelot what's happening with King Arthur and what's happening with all our characters," Horowitz added.
They also discussed the "bromance" between Charming (Josh Dallas) and King Arthur (Liam Garrigan).
"We're going to see how their relationship comes to be," Horowitz said, with Kitsis adding, "I would say it's a bromance that's just as special as Arthur and Guinevere."
Once Upon a Time season 5 premieres Sunday, Sept. 27 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
