An Unexpected Pregnancy Will Be Announced On 'Switched At Birth'

On Tuesday, Broadway World posted a synopsis of the episode that will air on August 31. As Bay continues to battle her broken heart over Emmett, she returns to school and tries something that might get her mind off of him. She signs up for a Spanish class only to discover that there's a harassment policy, which puts her in the spotlight.

Meanwhile, Daphne is going to have to fight a couple big challenges. She ends up getting a D in her chemistry class so her scholarship might be affected. Plus, she and Mingo are going to have a disagreement over something pretty important, leaving Daphne to wonder if she and this guy can have a long-lasting relationship.

Kathryn is also going to work on producing her musical as John deals with serious financial issues.

Earlier this summer, Lea Thompson (Kathryn) spoke to E! News on how the money problems in the family are going to affect Bay and Toby's parents.

"There's going to be big financial problems with John and Kathryn and that's going to be really challenging," Thompson said. "They're so used to being able to fix everything and being the mama and papa bear, but they can't this time and that's going to be really hard on them."

Switched at Birth returns on Monday, August 24 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC Family.
