The Marco (Peter Bergman) storyline on The Young and the Restless has grown to be quite thrilling and surprising.

Why Is 'The Young and the Restless' Cast 'Getting Fancy' While On Their CBS Set?

It was previously noted that Marco clearly has been receiving help from a Genoa City resident, but who? That will all be revealed in the episode set to air today, Aug. 12.

In the sneak peek below, Kevin (Greg Rikaart) is with Paul (Doug Davidson) discussing Detective Harding's (Chris L. McKenna) sudden leave of absence during a huge case.

Kevin is suspicious over the lead detective taking time off, but Paul doesn't think anything out of the ordinary is going on at first until Kevin and Mariah (Camryn Grimes) urge him to ask questions.

It turns out Kevin's hunch is on point since Soaps reported that Detective Harding is Marco's Genoa City helper. It has seemed like Marco has been responsible for the killings in town, but he really just seemed to order the hits. His helper is the actual killer or at least most of the time is the actual killer. In the episode through flashbacks it will be confirmed that Detective Harding killed Austin (Matthew Atkinson) and Courtney (Kelli Goss).

Detective Harding got involved with Marco since he was promised a life of wealth. He does regret it all, but Marco is now threatening his life since Marco wants to reclaim Jack's (also portrayed by Bergman) life and Detective Harding isn't keen on killing anyone else.

This wild storyline aside, Victor (Eric Braeden) is under the impression that Billy (Burgess Jenkins) is scheming against him so he wants Victoria (Amelia Heinle) to spy on him. In the clip below, Victoria argues with her dad though since she doesn't believe Billy would do that.

Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) and Jack give Billy a hard time about Victoria too as seen in the clip below.

The Young and the Restless airs on weekdays at 12:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
