The Marvel Studios/Sony crossover Avenger will make his debut as the superhero world is torn asunder, and news from D23 indicates that his upcoming role will move beyond a mere cameo.
Tom Holland, the new Peter Parker, filmed scenes for Civil War early this summer, but the actor has now rejoined the rest of the cast in Germany. The Winter Soldier, Black Panther, Falcon, and Captain America have spent the better part of August in Berlin and Leipzig, and Holland missed out on D23 as he continued to shoot his own scenes in the Teutonic landscape, according to Screen Rant.
Holland took to Twitter to announce his return to set last week:
Captain America: Civil War will pit Tony Stark and Steve Rodgers against each other as the Superhero Registration Act creates a rift through the Avengers. As Captain America and Tony Stark gather their supports, Rodgers and Falcon will continue to search for Bucky Barnes. When they find the Winter Soldier, however, he will have problems of his own.
