On Wednesday, the actress's boyfriend, Paul Wesley, posted a photo of Tonkin on his Instagram page where it looks like she's about to kiss a giant tortoise. As the actress bends down in grass with her hair tied back, the animal is seen with Tonkin's puckered lips just inches away from its mouth.
Wesley captioned the pic, "Phoebe and tortoise."

When she's not working on TV series The Originals, Tonkin seems to make the most with her time off. In an interview posted on Daily Telegraph this week, she mentioned how she stays healthy- it's not just about eating nutritious food and exercising.
"For me, wellness doesn't necessarily just mean food, exercise and body image," she said. "It's also looking after yourself spiritually, making time for family and friends, finding balance in your life. It's being able to work hard and reach your goals while making time to take care of yourself- mentally and physically."
The 26-year-old also dished on wearing comfortable outfits as she goes about her busy schedule.
"Sometimes I work all day then jump straight on a flight; I like clothes that take me places," she said. "I can wear these pieces walking with my dog Lola, and then stop somewhere on the way home and get a margarita!"
