Joseph Gordon-Levitt Is A Dad! [ViDEO]
Earlier this year, Joseph Gordon-Levitt surprised us with a secret marriage to his long-time girlfriend, Tasha McCauley, and now he has sprung a baby on us!
Congratulations are in order for the 34-year-old actor who just became a dad to a beautiful baby boy. While Levitt's rep has confirmed the news to the Los Angeles Times, no other details as to the birth date and name of the newborn have been revealed.
The actor hasn't taken to social media with the news, and his Twitter feed is only rife with promotions for HitRecord, his collborative production company. This is not unusual as the actor is known to be very private and has succesfully kept the media at bay when it comes to his personal life. We are still waiting for a Twitter storm of congratulations from fellow celebrities, it seems like the news is still catching on.
Gordon-Levitt married McCauley, on December 20, 2014 but the news only broke in January this year. According to People magazine the actor's relationship to McCauley was kept under tight lock and key because she wanted it that way. While not much is not known about McCauley, she is a recent MBA grad from USC who is known for her prowess in the field of robotics. She is the CEO of Fellow Robots, a robotics company based at NASA Research Park in Silicon Valley, California.
People reported that Gordon-Levitt had admitted to having a girlfriend in 2013 but wouldn't share who she was.
"I have a girlfriend but I tend not to really like to talk about it in public," he said. "The girl that I'm with, she really doesn't want to be a part of that."
Gordon-Levitt recently wrapped filming for The Walk, a Robert Zemeckis film based on the true story which was made into a documentary, Man on Wire about Philippe Petit's high-wire walk between the Twin Towers in New York on August 7, 1974. Gordon-Levitt plays the part of Petit, and is busy promoting it now. The actor has also been filming for a Christmas-eve themed movie which is being directed by Jonathan Levine.
One of Gordon-Levitt's latest big release was Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, which released in August 2014.
