One of the biggest concert events of the year is almost here.

The 12-12-12 Hurricane Sandy benefit concert is scheduled to take place on Wednesday evening in New York City.

The concert will be streamed live from Madison Square Garden and has been put together in part by Clear Channel Entertainment Enterprises president John Sykes. Many of the same producers for this year's event helped put together the relief concert event in New York after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

Many of the same performers that appeared on the NBC relief telethon "Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together" in Nov. will appear again to help those hardest hit by the storm that rocked the U.S. eastern seaboard. Some of those performers include Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen and Billy Joel.

In a recent interview with ABC, Bon Jovi talked about the devastation of Hurricane Sandy that is still lingering.

"The truth is after a tragedy like this, the effect of it's not cured just because the lights go back on," Bon Jovi said. "And it'll make me more cognizant of the next hurricane that hits someone else's town or the tornado that blows through the Midwestern city. It really humbles you."

However the has an impressive lineup of performers lending their musical talents for the event including: The Who, Paul McCartney, Kanye West, Chris Martin of Coldplay, Roger Waters, Alicia Keys, Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters, and Eric Clapton.

The Rolling Stones also announced at the end of last week that they will rock the stage with the rest of their superstar counterparts to raise relief funds.

The proceeds of the 12-12-12 concert presented by Chase will go to the Robin Hood Relief Fund.

There will also be big name presenters for the event like Susan Sarandon, Chris Rock, Kristen Stewart, Quentin Tarantino, Brian Williams, Jessica Chastain, Chelsea Clinton, Jake Gyllenhaal, Seth Meyers, Jon Stewart, Karlie Kloss and Bobby Monyihan.

There are many ways viewers can watch the broadcast which will play on 34 U.S. television networks, a variety of radio stations and stream live online.

The 12-12-12 concert takes place at 7:30 p.m. EST on Dec. 12.
